A lot of people believe that international marriages in Ukraine and Russia appeared only after USSR broke and most of them are made by Internet dating sites. But you cannot even imagine hoe long history and wide spread international marriages have already had, even in “non-Internet” age …..
Ukraine from ancient times was the center of east Europe and the largest trading roads crossed it in different ways. The famous and fabulous Roxolana is one of the most bright examples of international marriages of those times.
Who have never heard about such romantic legend about love of the Osman Port’s sultan – Sulejman to the daughter of the priest from Ukraine – Roxolana. She has been taken like a prisoner, during attack of the Crimean Tatars. She was only 15 years old, was sold on the Istanbul market and nicknamed in bondage Roxolana which means “Russian” from Latin.This tender Ukrainian girl has managed not only to survive but also take one of the highest posts in Osman Port, becoming at first the favorite wife of the sultan, and then the mother of the empire governor.

Suleiman The First Magnificent, who was the main person in Osman Port from 1520 till 1566, is considered to be the greatest sultan from a dynasty of Osman Turks. When he was a Sultan the empire has reached apogee of the development, having included in the structure all Serbia with Belgrad, the most part of Hungary, island Rhodes, considerable territories in the North Africa to borders of Morocco and in the Near East.
He was the fair governor and the uncompromising fighter with bribery, encouraged development of arts and philosophy, and also was considered as the skillful poet and the smith – very few of the European monarchs could make a competition of Sulejman The First.

Acquaintance of Sean and Evgeniya took place in the summer 2004 in the Charm-ale-sheikh, Egypt – Eugeniya spent there last student’s vacation.
